You as HR Manager for Social Media at the Summit: How did that happen?
Everyone is involved in the Univention Summit – whether from HR, Marketing or Professional Services. Together with Yvonne from Marketing, I was in charge of social media posts and participant interviews. Some of my colleagues said it would be a good fit for me –
and they were right! I really enjoyed the Summit! I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Yvonne again, she was in charge of all the posts and structured the process. It was really great and I think we really rocked it together! 🙂
In your daily work you mainly look inwards at the company. How did you perceive Univention through the external contacts at the Summit?
That’s right, in my day-to-day work I tend to work in the background, and the Summit was the first time I was really in the middle of things instead of just on the sidelines. It was very refreshing and exciting. It was nice to connect with so many customers and partners through the interviews. We were also able to capture the momentum of the people and the event through the social media posts. From my perspective, the Summit really had a lot of character! There was an exchange of ideas everywhere, there was laughter, but also more serious topics were discussed and considered – it was a really good “vibe” overall.
What were your personal takeaways from the Summit?
I want to get out much more in the future – out of my comfort zone! My tasks at the Summit were a lot of fun, but also really exhausting. To be honest, I underestimated my role there. Being surrounded by people and constantly on the move really exhausted me on one hand and made me very happy on the other. I am glad I was able to share that with Yvonne.
All in all, it was a great experience and clearly gave me new impulses. For example, I realized that I love to capture moments in pictures. I was also impressed by the many nice and open conversations I had during the interviews and the evening program. I felt a very nice and energetic Summit atmosphere with a coherent program that I was happy to be a part of.
Next year again?
