This app provides a mailserver for UCS. Postfix is used for outgoing mails via the protocol SMTP. Dovecot is used for postboxes for incoming mails via the protocols IMAP and POP3. Virus checks via the scanner ClamAV and spam detection via Spamassassin are integrated.
All services are configured to integrate with the Nubus identity management, so users and groups in the identity management can have mailboxes and mail distribution lists and end users can connect to the services using their domain credentials. Shared IMAP folders and mailing lists can be configured in the Univention Management Console.
The mailserver is the infrastructure foundation of groupware apps for sending and receiving emails.
