Trainee as IT specialist in application development
What I particularly like about my training is that I was allowed to work directly on the product from the very beginning. I have always received a lot of support but also trust.

Due to the support already mentioned, but also the constant helpfulness, patience and friendliness of my colleagues, I have already been able to learn a lot in the two years I have been with Univention. Especially about Debian-based operating systems, authentication, openLDAP and Samba. But I have also built up general skills of a developer, such as programming with Python, debugging and agile development with SCRUM.
What I particularly like about my training is that I was allowed to work directly on the product from the beginning. I have always received a lot of support but also trust and thus have the opportunity to go deeper into more complex topics.
As a trainee I already work directly on UCS, fix bugs and process feature requests from customers and participate fully in the development sprints.
Right now I’m in our maintenance team and work mainly on Samba and our S4-Connector. I really enjoy my work as a developer at Univention.
