The sixth patchlevel release of UCS 3.2 was published. This release includes, amongst others, updated packages for the Linux kernel, OpenSSL, the C-library (glibc) and the administrator tool sudo. Diverse tools from the PAM stack now consider the configuration of several LDAP servers, thus increasing the reliability of authentication services.

In addition, the login performance in large environments has been greatly improved by separating time consuming queries for quota settings from the login process. What is new is that UCS now evaluates further parameters such as routing information provided that UCS receives network configuration via DHCP.

UCS 3.2-6 comprises all errata updates so far published for UCS 3.2-5 which all help to improve the overall security and stability. A detailed listing of all updates and changes can be found in the Release Notes UCS 3.2-6.

The next UCS 3.2 patchlevel release is scheduled for August 25.
