New in The App Center: Mobile Device Security and Management with auralis®

New in the Univention App Center is the Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Device Security (MDS) solution auralis® of our partner Thinking Objects. The software supports the seamless integration of mobile end devices in companies’ day-to-day businesses and ensures mobile security with overall protection. It includes a safe two-factor authentication process for accessing groupware applications as well as intelligent e-mail compression for the reduction of data volume on end devices.

Thanks to the authentication of single devices, an embedded Certification Authority (CA) and highly-encrypted SSL connections, users can securely access e-mails, calendars, contacts and tasks from their ActiveSync-compatible groupware. The unique e-mail compression by auralis® makes sure that transferred file attachments are considerably minimized, thus saving up to 90% of the transfer volume.
