New: Debian 7 Update, Samba 4.2, Linux-Kernel 3.16 and a better performing LDAP directory service
From now on the first milestone of Univention Corporate Server (UCS) 4.0 as DVD-ISO for amd64 is available. It is based on Debian 7.6 aka “Wheezy” and already includes the Linux kernel in version 3.16, a prerelease version of Samba 4.2 and the LDAP directory service with the better performing MDB backend.
The milestone aims at channel partners, technology partners and interested parties, who want to take a first glance at the upcoming release of UCS. Information about download and installation are in the Univention Wiki.
