The Release Candidate of Univention Corporate Client 2.0, our management solution for the management of PCs, notebooks and thin clients, is now published. It aims at channel partners, technology partners and interested parties who want to take a first glance at the upcoming release of Univention Corporate Client (UCC). It is not designed for productive use. An update to the final release is thus not possible.
The Release Candidate includes the update to Kubuntu 14.04, which guarantees the support of the latest hardware. In addition, the XRDP integration and two wizards are new, which are available via the UCS management system. Using the wizards, users can easily manage the roll out of desktop environments and manage UCC images conveniently.
Further highlights are the UEFI support and a simplified integration of the Citrix Receiver client. All the details can be found in our Univention Wiki.
The UCC 2.0 Release Candidate is now available via the Univention App Center and is planned for release in June.
