The new assistant for the web-based Active Directory domain migration is now available to download and install as a stand-alone application in the Univention App Center. The graphic assistant leads the user through the migration process step by step and replaces the often complicated and error-prone manual migration of an Active Directory domain. At the end of the process, all Microsoft Active Directory domain controllers can be switched off and UCS is a fully functional domain controller. All rights and policies are transferred automatically while the users at the clients don’t even realize the change.
This new tool is of considerable benefit to system houses and companies who are looking for an alternative to the discontinued Microsoft Small Business Server.
