Icinga, a fork of the monitoring solution Nagios is now available via the Univention App Center and be easily installed. In comparison to Nagios, it distinguishes by a more modern web-based interface and additional data bank connectors.
The app is provided by the Icinga development team. Services and support are offered by the Nuremberg-based company Netways.
Using Icinga, complex, large and cross-location environments can be monitored. It can be operated as an independent monitoring system or as an umbrella system.
The app uses the Nagios integration in the UCS management system of Univention. By this, all new Nagios settings in the UCS management system will also update the Icinga configurations.
