The OX App Suite Connector app synchronizes selected users and groups to a remote OX App Suite installation using its SOAP API.
In order to use the app, you need a remote Open-Xchange App Suite installation. Typically, this remote server is not OX App Suite on a UCS system, because the OX App Suite app in the App Center is currently not supported to work with the OX App Suite Connector app, because it brings its own integration that may interfere with the one of this connector app. If you are looking for an out-of-the-box integration for OX App Suite, it is recommended to just install the OX App Suite app from the App Center.
There are two prerequisites for this app to work:
- The remote OX installation needs to allow access to /webservices and
- you need to make sure that HTTPS connections from the Connector app (it is a Docker based App) to the remote OX App Suite system work, i.e. you need a valid SSL certificate.
The OX App Suite Connector app manages users, groups, resources (conference rooms, etc.) and contexts. The UCS identity management is the leading user management for the OX App Suite users.
