This app provides a mailserver for UCS. Postfix is used for outgoing mails via the protocol SMTP. Dovecot is used for postboxes for incoming mails via the protocols IMAP and POP3. Virus checks via the scanner ClamAV and spam detection via Spamassassin are integrated. Shared IMAP folders and mailing lists can be configured in the Univention Management Console.

The mailserver is the infrastructure foundation of groupware apps for sending and receiving emails.
