AV Proxy is a versatile virus scanner for Linux proxy servers developed by IKU Systems & Services. AV Proxy protects networks from threats like viruses and other malicious software. It can be integrated transparently into an existing infrastructure and supports the protocols FTP, HTTP and even HTTPS through latest SSL technology. The integrity of SSL can be maintained by defining exceptions for the SSL scanning (e.g for online banking). The usage of the AV Proxy is multifunctional: it can also be used as a transparent or reverse proxy.
Based on the Univention Corporate Server (UCS) operating system, the IKU AV products - AV Mail and AV Proxy - can be deployed not only in a UCS infrastructure but also as a stand alone system in other (e.g. Windows-) environments.
The IKU AV products rely on the award-winning Avira antivirus scan engine. The products are low maintenance, quick and easy to install and work 'out-of-the-box'.
Once installed the product can be evaluated - with all of it's features - for 31 days. After that it's possible to retain the configuration and re-activate the software by acquiring a valid license key.
