Element is the chat and collaboration component of the openDesk digital workplace suite. It provides real-time messaging, voice and video calls, and collaboration features based on the Matrix protocol.
As part of openDesk, Element is integrated with Univention Nubus for Single Sign-On via OIDC through the Keycloak identity provider included in Nubus. User accounts are managed centrally in Nubus and provisioned to Element/Synapse.
