Univention GmbH, a leading European supplier of Open Source products for IT operation and management, will be awarding the Univention Graduate Prize on the next Univention Summit. In a festive setting on January 26, 2017 the three most innovative theses that make a particular contribution to the growth of Open Source software will be awarded. A first-rate panel of experts will judge all the entries on their suitability for use and innovation. The winners can expect a total prize money of € 3,500.

Prize Money and Award Ceremony
The total prize money amounts to € 3,500 – with € 2,000 being awarded for first place, € 1,000 for second place, and € 500 for third place. The winners will be judged and selected by a high-class jury of Open Source experts from the industry, research and media: Monika Schnitzer (Fujitsu), Holger Koch (DB Systems), Dr. Jörg Liebe (Lufthansa Systems), Dr. Steffen Evers (Bosch Software Innovation), Prof. Dr. Dieter Hutter (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence/DFKI) and Hans-Joachim Baader (Pro-Linux.de).
The award will happen during the Univention Summit on January 26, 2017 where over 200 vendors and users of Open Source solutions are meeting every year. The invited graduates can use this event as an opportunity to inform themselves about current developments.
Submission deadline is July 24
