Your Tasks

  • As a product owner at Univention, you are the connecting link between our Product Management and your Development Team.
  • For UCS@school, you use epics created by Product Management to develop specific work packages in collaboration with your development team.
  • You discuss the content and time planning with your team and advocate this schedule to the stakeholders such as Product Management or Professional Services.
  • Together with the Development Team, you advise Product Management on implementation issues and incorporate the requirements of the Development Team into planning.
  • For complex development tasks, you take over the project planning for your team while considering the dependencies between the Development Teams and mapping them in your planning.
  • You prioritize the day-to-day work of your Development Team, break down the epics created by Product Management into issues and plan these for your Development Team.
  • You are the contact person for other departments.
  • In the long-term, you can take over the supervision of another team as product owner.

What we expect

  • You have profound experience in coordinating one or more development teams.
  • You have worked as a product owner or in a comparable role in an agile environment using Scrum / Kanban for at least 3 years.
  • You are familiar with tools for planning development team tasks (e. g. Jira) – we currently use GitLab.
  • You have good English skills that allow you to communicate with developers and other stakeholders, or you have a basic knowledge of everyday English, so that we can further develop your skills together.
  • You enjoy communicating and organizing teams.
  • You work in a structured and reliable way.
