Freelancer / IT System Engineering Linux Administration

What Awaits You

  • You support our customers in the introduction and operation of our Linux-based products (Univention Corporate Server (UCS) and UCS@school) within the scope of large and complex IT infrastructure projects.
  • Your tasks will focus on one or more of the following areas:
  • In implementing projects with customers, you identify their needs and propose solutions on implementing the product successfully.
  • You implement the proposed solutions technically and install or configure Linux-based systems. In doing so, you come into contact with technologies such as Samba, Postfix, Ansible, and Docker. Depending on the project, you may be required to program small scripts in Python.
  • You support our customers with operational tasks such as installation, extensions, and updates (remotely).

What We Expect

  • You have very good knowledge in the administration of Linux systems, ideally with Univention Corporate Server.
  • You have good knowledge of Python programming on Linux systems.
  • You work in a structured and reliable manner and communicate openly and directly.
  • You have good knowledge of German and English.
