bitbone AG develops a Kaspersky app especially for Univention Corporate Server
The proven protection for Linux mail servers by Kaspersky is now available for Univention Corporate Server (UCS) through the Univention App Center. bitbone AG adapted the Kaspersky solution so that it can easily be installed and put into operation through the App Center.
Bremen / Würzburg, 05th August 2014. In the course of a collaboration, both bitbone AG and Univention GmbH provide the Kaspersky mail security as an app for the Univention App Center for UCS, and within this scope UCS customers are even offered technical support.
The Kaspersky security for mail server app protects e-mails on UCS mail servers. All proven and known functions such as the multi-layer cloud-based spam filter are contained in the app. The spam filter works real-time and it is possible to filter undesired messages. This way, data traffic can be reduced considerably. A further special feature of the Kaspersky mail security solution is a stable anti virus engine, within a method to reduce server resources (load balancing). Because of the possibility to exclude certain objects from being scanned, the system’s performance is maintained and the required resources for the anti virus scan are minimized by the Kaspersky mail security app.
The app was exclusively developed for UCS, and therefore it is available only through the Univention App Center. It can be installed without any problem through the UCS administration interface. After the installation through the Univention App Center each potential customer is offered the possibility to test the Kaspersky mail security app for free for 30 days before acquiring it. In the end the required licenses, correspondingly to the number of users, can be bought from bitbone AG.
